Default what have you done to your A4 trans?

hey guys, got my car apart for some work. putting the engine together and with the new cam I'm putting in a Circle-D TC, swapping up to the 3.42 gears, and was wondering if I should do any work on the trans while the rest is all torn out

how strong are these stock and what all can be done to beef them up a bit?

Don't fix what ain't broke! The 4l60 is a finicky b*tch... I damn sure wouldn't work on it until you have to...and then at that point, send it to RPM to be rebuilt. It ain't like doing a T350 in the garage anymore.

Everyone on this forum likes RPM ==I chose another Performance
tranny shop. Finish Line Transmission. If you know what your
horsepower will be 5 years from now, have a performance tranny
built and don't forget the torq converter.
I suggest you have a plan for your vette before you start buying
parts.

I haven't looked into RPM transmissions yet, so now I will
I was looking at the Finish Line Transmissions already. I'm already lined up for a Circle-D Billet TC so thats covered

car is doing just shy of 600 HP and 600 TQ at the fly wheel

all planned out though. all thats left is the trans, and getting my hands on a 3.42 rear end

Better buy a tranny/diff brace so you will not have wheel hop.

Better to install coil overs. No wheel hop and increased road handling.

been pretty happy with my VBP set up in the rear. haven't put much thought into the coil over set up
plus, I'm not dragging the car so I'm not super worried about wheel hop
might look into the brace though

kinda a tangent here, but how strong are the 3.42 rear ends?
again, not drag racing the car, but a lot of time on a road course
