I need a good differential shop in the Sacramento or SF Bay area.
My car has had a vibration for as long as I've owned it. I finally took it to a Chevy dealer to have them diagnose it. The mechanic thinks that the 3.90 gear set is not meshing correctly. I need a good shop that can fix this. It either needs to get fixed or I'm selling the car. I'm not selling the car, so it needs to get fixed.
In case you are curious- I feel it in the seat starting around 65 mph or so.
It's not tires and it's not wheels. It's not a wheel bearing. It's not tie rod ends.
I thought torque tube couplers or bearings, the mechanic didn't think so.

Vibration? Not a bent wheel? Bad tire? Hub bearing? Torque tube bearing? Output shaft?
Does the diff howl?
Abel Chevrolet in rio vista is top notch around here. For whatever it is!

Thanks! I will give them a call on Monday.
Does the diff howl? No. That was my first thought- If the gears are not meshing correctly it would howl, right?
Not a bent wheel? Bad tire?- No. I've put two different sets of wheels (HRE and factory Magnesium) and 3 different sets of tires on it (2 different sets of tires on the Magnesium wheels).
Hub bearing?- They feel tight and spin smoothly.
Torque tube bearing?- Don't know how to check them without tearing the TT apart.
Output shaft?- Also something I had considered, but short of removing them, I don't know how to check them for straightness.
