Default Cracked rear fender well *@ Carlisle*

So I went to Carlisle today. Beautiful day. Loved it. I always go. Brought the c5, who's never gone because the weather doesn't match up and it's a garage queen honestly. I bring it there no issues. Start driving home up 11 to head over to 81N , right before the on ramp I must've ran over a 2x4 or something. I saw it fly in the air and the *clu--clunk* noise. I pulled over and to find my inner fender well on my left rear was cracked. I'm sick ! Any suggestions from anyone ? I would like to just keep it original and try to have it repaired. But I'm not sure of any reputable shops near me (Upstate NY) that deal with fiberglass ! Oh what a day. This just tells me I should've kept her in the garage.

Can't help you other than to sympathize. Best of luck with the repair.

i would just replace the fender with an already painted one from a vendor like Marc@vettenuts if he has one available.

Do you have a Corvette club nearby? If so, check with them and see if they have a recommendation for a body shop to use.

Otherwise, getting a new fender may be your best option - provided they can match the Mil Yellow paint that is.

Could you be a little more specific about your location? "Upstate NY" covers a lot of territory....

Any good body shop can make that disappear. Fitting a new fender is a whole lot more trouble. The corvette club idea is a good one, you aren't the first guy to crack the glsss.

Not sure how close you are to Rochester, but if reasonably close I would contact New Era Performance and see if they know of a good shop they can recommend.

Actually, if the OP told us where he's located (what ever happened to him??) and it was in the Rochester area, I was going to suggest Sofia Collision.

You have that bass-ackwards, buddy. Fitting panels on a C5 is child's play. And yellow is bar-none the hardest color to shoot and match.

That's what I'm afraid of.

And yes I am from Rochester. Sorry for the late reply, I have been quite busy with work. I take all your feedback/suggestions seriously! Vettenuts doesn't have mill yellow :/
