Default After-market BBK

I just purchased a 2004 Lemans Commemorative Edition Corvette with 15,000 miles. This has an LS1 engine.

The previous owner installed a BBK intake manifold and throttlebody. What is it I have size wise or performance wise?

No, however the ZO6 Commemorative Edition is the only one to have a real Carbon Fiber hood as opposed to the faux one and the all black interior. It also come with polished ZO6 wheels not available on the standard ZO6.

Good luck... GUSTO

I see nothing on the BBK throttle body to indicate its size (mm).

Default Commemorative Edition Numbers

Commemorative Edition Numbers:

Z06 ..........................2025 produced
Coupe......................2215 produced (Which I have)
Convertible..............2659 produced

The " 1SC " option was for the Commemorative Edition Package for the coupe and convertible.
Items included are LeMans Blue paint and trim, silver and red striping, carbon fiber hood, and polished Z06 wheels.
(Also shale interior on coupes and convertibles, special badging, and embroidery.)

The hood on my car says "Carbon Fiber" printed on it. I honestly do not know if it is. I think not. It does not have Z06 wheels.

Roger, could you post a picture of where it says "Carbon Fiber" on your hood? I've seen quite a few of these hoods, both the SMC and the ZO6 carbon fiber hood, and I've never seen any printing on them that said Carbon Fiber. I certainly could have missed it. The easiest way I've seen to determine without scratching the paint is to weigh them. Obviously the carbon fiber hood is much lighter.

Good luck... GUSTO

"CARBON FIBER" is printed on the carbon fiber which is between the silver graphics and the red graphics (stripe). It is 7 1/2" from the cowl edge of the hood and is 5"long. It is a bit hard to see unless you are looking for it.

I wonder what the logic was when the previous owner changed throttle bodies from stock to the BBK.

For the same reason why i did. Larger tb means more available air to get it.
