Before I changed to HP tuners I used to use the Diablo Preadator Tuner. It will do what you are looking for. Used it for fan temps and to dial the tune in a little better. Can use it as a scan tool as well. Hypertech has one out there as well that will do what you are looking for.

Advanced
Diablo comes to mind, though I really prefer using HP, despite the laptop requirement.
I'm pretty sure there's a Diablo rep on here, why not shoot him a message?

Before I went FI, I had/have a Hypertec and it adjusted the tune, fan temps, and some other stuff. Mine is only usable on a 2000 according to the manufacturer. But with the tune for the supercharger and meth etc. I wouldn't dare try to use it now as it might screw up what Andy did on the tune.

Interesting comments.
Does the Hypertech (or other hand held tuning device) have the ability to read the current tune on the PCM of the car into tuning device memory (if it has memory??) allow you to adjust specific parameters (fan turn on temps for example) in memory and then download back to the PCM the modified tune?
I would have thought they would have that capability???
If not does anyone know how these devices actually accomplish their function??

I haven't kept up with any of the handhelds at all but don't they cost at least half (and maybe more than half) of what hptuners would cost?... personally I would rather spend a little more and have one that does it all and you can recoup your money as soon as your coworkers and friends find out you have it

My Hypertech is 14 years old technology. I wanted to change the fan temps and called them a few years ago to see if it might alter the tune for FI. Their tech said it might void portions of Andy's tune. For N/A it worked well as described. The newer tuners are probably more advanced.
