Default Alternator Fix

Hello Forum
I've been lurking for 3+ years. I found everything I needed on google search to work on my car.
I have a 98 vert auto with 130,000 on the clock. Last fall the alternator needed a rebuild. Went to the local alternator shop to have it done. When I got it back I got a CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT on the DIC no codes. It would come on and go off.
Fast forward this year with 130,000 on the clock good time to replace starter, positive battery cable, ignition switch, and cleaned the grounds and other connections at the starter and alternator.
The DIC would show 14.2 volts at the battery 14.5 volts while running. Voltage drop at the alternator was .19 of a volt.
Still have the CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT. Went back to the alternator shop he checked the alternator and found nothing wrong. I had him install another regulator in it.
Installed alternator same thing CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT 14.2 on the DIC. It would come on and go off at any time. Back to the google search. Looking at an alternator parts sites and I found two voltage regulators for the c5 corvette. Here are the links for the regulators. http://store.alternatorparts.com/part-m526.aspx which is the wrong one and I have two of them.
The other one is http://store.alternatorparts.com/m53...-corvette.aspx. As you read about them you can see that the M530 is different. I ordered one at that Quick Start and got the big run around for a week, canceled that one. I ordered one at https://www.aspwholesale.com/ I had it in three working days. I installed it myself easier than the two blend doors for the ac lol.
No CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT The DIC shows 13.7 volts at the battery my meter shows 14 volts. If anybody orders one DO NOT use their vehicle search it would sell you the M526 which is the wrong one for a 1998 corvette. The right one is M530.
After three days I got the CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT one time at start up it was on for maybe 1 to 2 seconds. Sorry if it is long winded story but I thought it would help somebody with their rebuilt alternator.
Happy Thanksgiving
