Default LS2 coils fit LS6?

Ok so i have been looking at the Holley ls valve covers and the bolt spacing for the valve covers is for the 72mm coil packs. The ls1/ls6 is 65mm. My question is. is it ok to put a LS2 coil on my LS6? is the harness the same? Or do I have to use a LS3/LS7 coil? Thanks again guys for the help.

you will need the ls2 coil harness due to the plugs being different on the coil end... the big end will plug into your engine harness so no problems there... you might ask an experienced tuner if the dwell time needs to be adjusted with those coils... they probably don't need any changes but it would still be good to find out for sure, I had to have my dwell time adjusted on the truck coils I'm using but I don't think the coils from cars will need to be changed

Ok cool. Thanks again for the help. It looks like if i do those Holley valve covers im either going to just use one bolt to hold the coils or not do this at all lol. Seems like this will cost more than ts worth to me.

Also do you have the regular Holley valve covers or the tall? Any tricks to install them? Thanks again for the help.
