Default 03 zo6 HID headlights won't work

I have a 03 zo6, I am installing some HID headlights I have everything installed correctly from what I can tell, but the lights wont come on. I can jumper the lights and they work. I have tested the factory wiring and it shows 12v. There is obviously something I am missing any suggestions?

What do you mean by jumper?

There is a possibility that the connector that plug into each ballast needs to be inverted to reverse polarities.

Some ballasts have their jacks with the polarities reversed. Give it a try and let us know

called vendor and found out that they need over 14 volts to operate.

That is a crap design in my opinion. Hope you don't go below that when you are driving.

I've had a hard time with HID's myself... My first set was opt7. Fairly popular brand, they didn't turn on at all. Then I returned those and got kensun, they turned on but the headlights wouldn't close when the lights were turned off (common problem, need a resistor) but then they stopped working completely.

I really wanna go with the radio flyer bi xenon lights but just can't spend 650 on lights lol. I have one more option I'm going to try before I give up.

Switching polarity is also a common problem and simple fix.

I thought the Radioflyer kits were overpriced. After I spent $500 on various kits, with mixed results I finally bought a set from Radioflyer. I wish I would have started there.

There is no comparison. Do yourself a favor and get a set. I even think he is having a sale right now.

Thank you. We have spent a long time developing our kit from the best components available.

With your kit I would check the polarity going into the ballast. I'm willing to bet if you reverse the connector going into the ballast it will work.

I am somewhat a slow learner. But for some reason i got the Radio Flyer headlights and have been very happy that i did something right the first time.
