I use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W30 oil and an AC Delco PF46E filter. Works well for me.

I use Redline Synthetic 5W30 and NAPA Premium filters. Redline Synthetic is pretty high in zinc and is therefore not too catalytic converter friendly. I've run it for over a quarter of a million miles in my truck's 5.3 and have had to replace converters twice. Days of replacing converters are long passed in the vette!

Any full synthetic 5w30 with a quality filter will work..
I personally will never use anything Fram.. I use Wix.
And I have used castrol and mobile full synthetics

at one time I had a NAPA rep demo a filter comparison, he cut a Fram filter in half as well as his filter and a Wix ,the Fram had half of the pleats as the Wix and NAPA filters !!!!!

It seems Fram is not very well regarded in general, but its Ultra line is in a total different league compared to the rest of their lineup:

Take a look at this video showing one of them after 10000 miles in a car:
- Metal endcaps
- Dual layer synthetic media
- Wire mesh reinforcement as a 3rd layer behind media
- Silicone anti-drainback valve
- Thicker canister
- 15000 miles with synthetic oils
- Made in the USA
