Default Climate control replace need advice

So pretty much my climate control display went out and I tried to fix it myself by using a cheap *** soldering gun and messed it up pretty good. I sent my unit to one of the repair service guys on ebay. He called me today and said he was sending it back to me because its not repairable. So I guess I am screwed. Does anyone have a suggestion where I can buy a new unit without having to send my core in (assuming they wont accept mine since its ruined) Thanks.

Yikes! Looks like this place will sell a replacement outright, but it's pricey. Good luck.

Its works is one thing, the display is up to snuff might be another. I'd ask... is your car off the road for winter? If so maybe don't rush.

Yea that's a good point. The car is hibernating for now so really need to rush I guess. I'll contact seller and make sure the lights are functional.

Ask specifically if the lights being bright is guaranteed. I'd wait until your original unit gets back and flip us some pics. Maybe someone can salvage it, or help you to.
Did you get your cat post figured out?

Yeah I sent him a message asking about the lights. I should have it back by friday I'll show you guys pics of my mess. As far as the cats I figured I'll wait til I actually have the headers to worry about it. The headers I'm getting come with an extension that is 2.5" so I'd say I will just get the Magnaflow universal metallic cats that are 2.5 in/out. I can get them on ebay foe about 90 each

Dang... OK that is pretty ugly. Sorry. But I'm surprised they sent it back. Isn't there some vendor here who fixes them?
Are you in the US? It's a bit of a hassle sending stuff across the border otherwise I'd offer to try and fix it for you.
Any electronics repair shop nearby?
If you run out of options and are going to toss it, and have the time I'll give it a try. Worst part is the border, I'd get charged import duties.
Dang border...

From the pics looks like the component pads are still there just all cold solder joints, if you send me high resolution pics I let you know if that's the case. If the pads are still there, I'll take a crack at re-soldering the resistors for you I did the fix on mine after a bad experience with an ebay repair service.

Yeah it's pretty rough but I thought they would still be able to fix my mess. Yes I am in the US. There is one electronics shop nearby so I may run it down there and see if they wanna take a shot at it. I appreciate it though.
