Default AC Compressor

If the AC compressor goes bad in our cars will it throw a code? Just curious.

Mine didn't. Ive replaced mine twice. Once for it seizing and the other for the infamous rear seal leak.

There are several AC System PCM monitored items.. Depends on what goes bad. If it is something MECHANICAL, then the answer is most likely NO, unless it results in one of the below listed DTCs:

DTC P0530 A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

DTC P0531 A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

DTC P0532 Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

DTC P0533 Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit High Voltage

DTC P0534 Air Conditioner Refrigerant Charge Loss

Ok Ill start it up and see if I can get a code to come up. Havent had one pop up but was just wondering since the Compressor isn't kicking in when I hit the button. The light isn't blinking and stays on. But no cold air since the comp isn't kicking on. System is also charged per one of those cheap little gauges you get with a bottle of Freon. But its showing OVER charged. It worked before I pulled the motor out and put it back in. Thanks guys.

You can NOT see the charge when the compressor isn't running. BOTH the high and LOW sides are equalized so it will look overcharged.

Is the electrical connection on the Compressor clutch properly connected?

YES

Pull the DTCs and see what HVAC ones pop up.

Ahhh ok makes sense now why it looked over charged. Redid the connection twice just to make sure I had a good connection. Ran the codes and didn't get any except for the Air pump which I disconnected and am going to remove and turn off once I get tuned. Guess Ill play with it somemore and look around. Hopefully its something stupid. Im just running through my head at work thinking about it.

I think mine is just low on Freon. But instead of adding Freon I think Im just going to set fire to the whole car and start over!

Have you had it evacuated the system had had a full charge put in?
If not that's a real good place to start..
