Need Info On Fuel System Upgrade For 730HP
I have a new 730hp road race motor arriving in 2 weeks. Does anyone know if I can add an inline fuel pump to boost the fuel flow in a C5 to handle the new HP? I'm trying to avoid removing the tanks to install a new in tank unit.

I guess you can, but I would just change the intank pump, maybe do a duel pump. I changed mine, it is not that bad, unless you have an 03+. I am using a BAP, Racetronix harness, and upgraded intank pump, and make 607whp. Usually good for about 650-700whp, but around that amount you need to go to a bigger system.

As far as your level of power is concerned, I would recommend installing the dual-unit modification from Lonnies Performance. You can either buy a new left side tank unit (only) and send it to him to be modified, or send yours, sans the float/sending unit. Right side remains unchanged. The second pump only kicks-in at WOT, not normal low speed stuff where you don't need it. No need for a boost-a-pump either.
Either way, he makes a good unit.

Lonnie takes calls in the evening as well (I think he has a day job) and he mentions that on his website. His site is not one of the best in the world, but his work is very good and his design for the C5 unit is sound. Call him and tell him what you've got and what you want to do.
