Default Help with faulty horn on a C5

Hello everyone. I just recently changed the horn membrane on my C5 because the horn seemed to be stuck when I plugged the fuse in. Even after putting in a new contact membrane my horn is still stuck. Any idea on what could be wrong?

I put in a new relay and no luck guys. It's still going off as soon as I put the fuse in. Any ideas on what else it could be? Could I have tightened the airbag assembly to the point where it's constantly pushing the membrane?

Either that or the BCM has an issue. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes as a first step and see if it resets the BCM.

Isolate the black wire that goes to the membrane. Check to see if there is continuity between that wire and ground. If so the short is in the membrane.

Not exactly, based on where he pulls the reading it could also be from the wiring or the BCM switch.

Mr. Sam
Hey, good morning Sam.

How about unplugging connector C-209 and check pin "V" to ground for continuity?

That's why the wire should be isolated.

I see what you were saying but he may not have understood which side to measure on.

It's all good.
