C5 with C7 Rear Conversion
Definitely looks like a good product and install. Can't say I like it, and think you'll really reduce your buyer base whenever you decide to sell, but who cares. If you like it, enjoy it.
The one thing I do like is the exhaust. The 4 slightly smaller, closer tips look much better than the clumsy space and slightly oversized (IMO) factory C5 tips.

There was a body kit that would make a C4 look like a C5.

I'm sure all the kits add at least 25Hp. and take off .2 seconds.
I will go for the stock look and leave well enough alone.

Tough crowd. All he did was ask for some help with the wiring.

This thread just goes to show that just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should do it.........

But on the bright side, it still looks better than those louvered C5 tail light covers. But that bar was pretty low already.

I thought the best looking C7 rear bumper was the conversion to C5 taillights. At night a C7 looks like a Camaro.

Interesting project!
I also do not care for the C7 rear, but this is a fabrication project that turned out very nice! Good job!

Good fit and finish.

Looks like it was factory installed.

I have to admire a guy with imagination and the stewardship skills to get good results.
I would color the top to match the stripe, I used to have a navy blue car with a tan top and have always liked the look. THe gold stripe and the pretty paint job reminded me of old times.

I probably should keep my yap shut, my car is stock triple black and is staying that way, a universe apart from yours , plus yours probably stays clean. I was once complimenting a car show participant on the little jeepster he was loading up . Being a gentleman, he returned the compliment, saying my vette was pretty nice, just needed a little clean up. We both laughed when I said I cleaned it up before coming to see the show. Again, compliments on the stewardship.

I think it turned out great, can it be ordered without the spoiler, or is it pre-drilled?

I think it makes the car look less agressive, but I like it, espically with that color, convertable, and those newer style rims. Clean job

Default C5 to C7 Rear Bumper

I hate the chrome stickon crap and the little slats in the front WAY more than I hate the rear bumper.

Not bad overall I guess. I hope you don't have lambo doors to go with it though...that's really put the rice in the ricecake.
No Lambo Doors.....just not my style

Default C5/7 rear spoiler

We used a C7 spoiler & gm template to fit it. I wanted the large spoiler or deal breaker for me.
You do not have to use the large spoiler at all. We did add about 1 1/4" to both ends & had to shape it to look right on the C5 for my preference. Just me being picky!

The stripes are Pewter I think same as 01 Corvette.
Our own design after much consideration about how to break up the color & not make it too busy.

It was a C5 fit with C7 resemblance. It did not come off a C7. Only the components, lights, exhaust bezel, 3rd brake light & spoiler are off a C7. Facia was purchased ready to install & finish. It fit the back of the car very well, but installing components required a lot of fit work.
Thanks for your comments
