One last question. I see 32.008 is the most recent version for US GM but this comes w/ 32.002. Can i upgrade to 32.008 for free or no? What is the difference between GM NAO and GM versions?

Thanks
Dave

Since you are buying it you will get the disk's that come with it. For some reason I can not copy the USB key it only wants to install. I tried on Vista Win7 and 8.1

I purchased mine from aliexpress for 273.00 without case and free shipping. I purchased the TIS Software from carucare with the USB Key for less than $20.00 shipped.

As far as accessing GM site for reflashing PCM I believe you would have to have a active account that has user name and password to log into GM global connect.

I was there when the GM tech reflashed the pcm on my 2001 and that is what he had to do.

I bought a Dewalt case like AKPounder for mine as well.

Have not had any trouble with mine at all.

Good luck with yours

Default Clone Tech 2 and TIS2000

I run TIS2000 in a virtual winXP on my win 10 computer using Oracle Virtualbox .

As this screenvideo shows you can operate the Tech 2 from TIS2000 Tech2 view in the virtual win Xp.
The USB adapter I use work OK from my virtual pc through the win 10 USB port to the Tech2

You can upload snapshots from the Tech2 memory and view the trends using TIS2000.

.

I use this USB adapter . I think it is one of few adapters that will work with the Tech 2 . As shown in the screenvideo I made , it works with the virtual XP pc through the host USB port also

NAO = North American Operations.

And as others said, the USB key is for use with TIS2000. It's a hardware key which authorizes your computer to run the software.
