I'm thinking about putting a msd intake on my FRC. Looking to see what kind of performance gain is to be had from having it ported also. My setup now is tfs215 CNC heads,11.7 compression,239/244 675/653 111+4 custom cam, longtubes 3" x pipe b&b cat back and cutouts.25% pulley. Was a ported fast 92. With stock 342 gear the car went 10.78 @ 130+. Now it has a built diff with 410's and fresh trans. Looking for a little more power from this new intake.

Some had clearance issues at the cowl area, some it was a big deal others not so much ??? I wanted to go that route but at the time they were not out yet, went with LS 6 !!!! I loved the look of the MSD !!!!!!

Well I did put a fast 102 on the car while I was waiting on my drive train but sold it to buy this. I just set it in the car and it doesn't appear to be very c5 friendly at all. Cowl panel, water pump, steam port vents if you have all 4 connected.....all in the way

Keep the 92, unless it's broken. You are able to get nice gains from self-porting it. The 102 has cowl clearance issues that many have overcome, but there is some trimming.

I first did a self ported fast 90. Then I ported a 92. A few months ago I sold the 92 and bought a 102. Did a bunch of work to it and installed it but never even drove the car. Decided I wanted the msd. So I'm stuck with it now since the 90,92 and 102 are all long gone

I'm confused, what intake is currently on the car?

Currently nothing. I own a msd intake now. And is what will be on the car next. Was wondering if anyone has used it and if they have any #'s from it being ported. I have had a fast 90 and 92 on the car in the past. Did just have a fast 102 on it but sold it before the car ever made it out of the garage.

oh ok, I would have kept the 92 or 102 personally... you have almost enough money in intakes to buy a supercharger kit

Seems like everyone wants to stay with the same intakes and same power. And not try anything new here. Guess I'll try.

Tony's efforts in porting these, are also relatively recent and he has been reporting VERY encouraging numbers so far. He has been spending significant time with them.
