Need help on how to fix the common siphon/transfer pump blockage issue
Ok I've searched the forum and I know my issue is the dreaded blockage of the siphon/transfer pump. However, I can't really find anything that really states how to fix/repair it. I've got my whole diff/rear end out and want to fix this while it's right there. I haven't even pulled off the shield cover yet, but is there any gasket I need to get once I pull the siphon pump out? Anything I need to be careful about? Just wanted to get a little more knowledge on this before I start it and avoid any possible issues. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'll take pics while I do this and make a 'how to' on it. Just don't wana mess anything up going in blind. Thanks for any help!!

Melting Slicks
I replaced my siphon pump on my 2001. I do believe that it can be cleaned out if blocked. The biggest problem is dealing with the fuel and the fumes off the gas while working.
The gasket is G25 {#12459863} AC Delco and is big bucks of bought separate. It is around $40.00 but does include new bolts.
Once the pump is out you will be able to see how it works.
Good luck with your repair
