Default 3" High Flow Cats

I currently have test pipes on a 3" X pipe. I want to add high flow cats, but dont want to pay for LG or other brands that will cost close to $400 for some high flow cats. I found some from flowmaster and other brands, but my main concern is the length of the cat? How long do they have to be to mate with the aftermarket X pipe without needing to cut/weld anything?

I don't understand. Unless I'm missing something, how would one know how much room you have without knowing which X pipe/test pipe you have, and how exactly it was installed, to be able to do this without cutting or welding?
As for cats, I have Magnaflow metallic which were around $90 each IIRC

if you have lg's just remove the test pipes and measure them... otherwise get the car in the air and measure how much room you have to work with and find some cats that will fit in that space

Its a Texas Speed 3" X pipe with texas speed headers. Was just checking to see if anyone knew what size cat might work.

I'm pretty darn sure you'll have to cut. I also have TSP headers, don't see any way to install cats into the existing system without doing so.

Our OEM replacement main cats for the C5 ar 9" long, if that is any help to you. An exhaust shop should be able to make anything close to that size work.
