Horn doesn't work
2002 coupe - Any suggestions on the best place to start with a horn that doesn't work? It doesn't work from the steering wheel or when activating the security alarm from the remote. There are no codes.
I have the GM Service Manuals but my experience at this site tells me this seems to be a common problem. Are grounds the right place to start. All that's been apart a couple years ago was the passenger door with a locking problem which I fixed.

I don't believe 2,3,4 or 5 apply here.
I checked and replaced the fuse but it was fine. Since the battery is right next to the under the hood fuse box I used a test light on he battery negative post and looked for 12 volts at he horn fuse. There was no voltage. Both connectors for the fuse were clean but dead. Any other suggestions. The horn seems to be the only item that's not working. If there's no battery up to the fuse it seems that would be the problem.

I'm having the same issue I think my problem is something in the steering wheel because the horn works on my fob every time I press it. Just started this weekend..........AND I needed my horn so I yelled and used my finger LOL.

I replaced my membrane with a new one (horn was on all the time, had to pull fuse) and it quit working within a few months (January to April). Any reason I can't wire the horn switches to a simple push button switch located on the top of the moveable part of the steering wheel (the panel with the logo in the middle)? 3 amps good enough? Sorry to hijack thread, hopefully kill two birds with one stone? Thanks!

Update
11/12/2016 Update...... After leaving this sit for months and not doing anything after a 20 minute trip to pick up a new relay and 1 minute to install it my problem was solved.
