Default C5 plugs and wires...

I'm thinking of doing new plugs and wires before I get to the 100k mark. Completely stock C5, 2001coupe. I haven't checked yet to see what plugs and wires are specified but I figured I would check in here and see if there are any upgrade suggestions. Thanks in advance if you have any experience to share. Bob

Thanks very much, I'll have to start looking. Summit shows the wires as unavailable.

GM red performance wires and AC Delco Iridium plugs from Gene at GM Parts house
Copied from an older thread so prices may have changed

12495519 – GMPP red spark plug wire set – $66.94
12621258 – GM AC Delco Iridium spark plugs – $6.97 each

I believe these are the same wires and plugs Bill Curlee uses...

with 73Corvette. Both of those items are very good quality. I ran them in my '00 and have the GMPP wires on my '03. Haven't changed the plugs on my current car yet as it only has 21K miles.

Thank you very much for all of the responses. I just ordered the part numbers listed above for $102.49 on Amazon with free shipping. It was especially good because I had credit from a gift card. Thanks, Bob

Cool... for what it's worth be sure and put some anti-seize on the plugs and torque them to the proper spec or at the very least DON"T over tighten them, just nice and snug, I like to start plugs with my fingers so I know I'm not cross threading them... I know a lot of folks don't have or use a torque wrench.
If they haven't been taken out before, some have had to struggle with them to get them out
