Default Change your fuel filter!

2002 C5Z, changed the fuel filter at 65k miles. At 89k miles added a fuel pressure guage at the rail and the reading was 50psi. Put a new filter and voila 60psi reading. Good idea, if you haven't changed it in awhile, for 30 minute job and under 35 bux for the filter.

Wow. My AC Delco was twice that. Where did you source yours? Mine was on an 02 vert.

Good advice, but not so easy with mid-year '03 and all '04 C5s. I believe the fuel filter was moved to inside the fuel tank.

When did they change the filter location? I thought that at one point GM made it so that you weren't supposed to or didn't have to ever change the filter. I never have but I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad idea. I've never had any issues but lately my gas mileage has dropped and it would be a good idea to rule this out. My car still runs fine though. BTW, it is an '03.
