Default 98 C5 Clutch Assembly Question?

Hey guys, I've been having issues with the clutch pedal not returning (no pressure). I replaced the clutch master cylinder thinking that was the issue and the car ran strong for a couple of days. Seems like I will have to be replacing the slave cylinder. The car has 80,xxx miles so I'm just going to go ahead and replace the stock clutch and flywheel.

My question is what Stage 1 clutch and flywheel would you guys recommend? I don't want to go too aggressive at the moment but a good setup. Please let me know if anyone has some advice!

That was the EXACT same thoughts that I had. If you don't plan on being very aggressive, i.e. "drag race every Sunday or plan on adding much over 420 HP" any of the up-graded OEM GM systems will more than adequately cover your needs. C5 ZO6, C6 ZO6 ect.. with a new GM flywheel if it needed.

The secret is; Install a new pilot bearing, slave cyl, pressure plate throwout bearing AND,,,,,,,,,,,,, install a good remote bleeder kit while you have the drive train apart:

Check the TT for bad bearings and or deteriorated couplers and replace the differential output shaft seals.

The only mods on the car are intake and exhaust at the moment. I plan on doing a Heads/Cam install but not til next year sometime.

Thank you both for the replies!
