Sway bar squeak
Hi all. Quick question. I have aftermarket sway bars the rear has developed a squeak. What was the proper grease to use on the rubber isolators that contact the bar? Ty!

Green lithium grease for me.

Pro tip: take the sway bar out of the bushings, drill a few small dimples (say 1/8" diameter, 1/8" deep) into the rubber bushing, fill dimples with grease, reinstall sway bar.

Same here, no squeaks in years. Plus is doesn't attract dirt and sand like a grease or other wet substance will.

I used the prothane grease that came with my urethane bushing kits. I bought extra tubes of it for like $5 for 3. Can't speak to how it works just yet but it is really sticky so I figure it'll stay put a long time. Also very water resistant.
Had I seen this thread I probably would have tried a spray on teflon lube I have at work. That dries more or less clear and it NEVER comes off. Interesting idea on the teflon tape.
