Excellent sound, no resonance at cruise, looks great, not too loud, and best of all, huge weight savings. Don't expect any power increase with a stock motor, but that goes for any aftermarket cat back. Only the Z06 exhaust will net you a performance gain due to the low weight.
I would do it, no doubt.

I have them on my 03' c5 and love them. For me the sound is just right vs stock c5.
If you like lots of noise don't get them. You can see the before and after in my sig. link.

The only LS6 part I want on my vette is the heads. The Ti ZO6 Exhaust is the same funky restrictive stock design only a little lighter. Just my .02 but don't waste your money on OEM exhaust parts. If your looking for HP gains go with after-market systems..... Longtubes, X-pipe with a straight through system like PRT's is where the gains will be found. As for removing the Cats ... I think you can build a system with high flow cats an O2 sensors installed that produces enough flow and still meet the emissions standards
But if everybody went with after-market exhaust systems who would the ZO6 owners sell there Ti systems to when they replaced there's with after-market systems

Granted, not as free flowing as aftermarket offerings... but "somewhat" less restrictive that the stock LS1 exhaust.
Although I am with you that one shouldn't count on the Z06 exhaust creating any measurable power; but if you can get a set cheap enough (I paid $500 including shipping for a set with 2k miles)... why not?

FYI Borla Stingers are lighter than the Z06 titanium. Corsa titaniums are light, but will set you back big bucks. Titanium will never corrode, whereas any other metal will eventually have at least minor corrosion.

Re: What's the real story on the Z06 Titanium Exhaust? (paid4c4)
I just has a set installed this week. At idle and cruise they sound mostly the same, at WOT they sound nice. While not dramatic, I think they have a bit more top end power above 4500 rpm....again not dramatic on a stock A4 coupe.
They are MUCH lighter, and the tips look better. Is it worth it...the way I see it, they are GM parts, which should negate any potential warranty issues, and offer as much gain as an aftermarket system with a stock motor. A modified motor might be a different story though.
For what it's worth, I also have the 02 Z06 airfilter lid, installed some time before the exhaust, and it also added a little to the top end. That is a $40 upgrade, well worth it.
Was it worth the $600 (including installation) for the Z06 mufflers, to me the answer is yes, but if I planned to do other mods I would probably get a Corsa or Borla system. But this is all I plan to do....for now, the 02 is a strong car out of the box.

Some systems do get you about 10hp, according to somw Vette magazines tested on the dyno. The B&B systems seem to yield the most HP.

The restriction is at the cats not the cat backs. Get what you want for looks and sound and not horsepower. There is little to no gain in power.

Try this: get the Borla Stingers, then hit the gym and lose 5 pounds. Now you're even on the weight issue! ;)

I put them on a week ago. I don't notice a huge sound change, but some friends listened to the car and told me it was much nicer sounding then the stock LS-1 system. No noticable power increase, the weight difference is unbelievable. I think they are worth the price and effort. Then again, I didn't want something that would be too loud and these fit the bill.
