Default 1998 EBCM compatability

I have a late model 98 EBCM with a V. Is there any reason I can't use a 99 ECBM v code?

Thanks,
Dan...

Default Thx

Thx for the info. I found one off a 99 with 41k original miles. I missed the EBCM problems in my original research. I would not have bought a pre 2001 if I had known about the EBCM issue.

Default Conversion

I read that thread about converting and considered doing it. But I found it harder to find an 01 - 04 unit then one for my 98.
