Default Trouble shooting B0856 code - First time working with codes

So my Z drivers seat has been acting up lately. Sometimes it follows the key fob just fine. Then another time the seat controls do not operate, auto or manual. The mirrors reset to the FOB. But not the seat. I've checked the connections for 12v/Gnd/continuity.

I'm guessing the module under the seat as the culprit. I didn't want to start swapping parts until checking in with the gurus here.

Any other means of trouble shooting? I'm without the FSM so any assistance is appreciated

My search did not turn out the PDF. Thanks for that.
I'm building an extension cable to run and trouble shoot the seat out of the car.
For now I've been able to manually run the motors with jumpers and set the seat in a driving position.
Must be a short or open somewheres..
