There are many different polishes and waxes out there I personally use collinite 476 wax. It lasts a long time, but many guys use synthetics like zaino, klasse, duragloss , menzera etc. as far as scratches you will need a polishing product like maguires or mothers.....

The truth is you will just need to try a couple products and see what works for your style. This is probably the most debatable topic there is.

I am a fan of meguiars products but like I said that is just my opinion

I see that you are a new member here. There is a whole forum dedicated to this subject.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...discussion-10/

This is not really a question for the tech section.

I want to try Chadwick's but I have hundreds of dollars of detailing supplies that will go to waist if I really like it. When I get some of what I have used up I will switch.

10 different people will give you 10 different answers.

I never use wax. It looks good, but what happens to wax when it is hot?

I have used Zaino on several cars and the prep is time consuming but it has worked well for me.

I'm an "old timer", and stuck with the paste waxes like the original Simoniz or Collinite, for a LONG time. About 15-16 years ago, I got involved here, at CF, as well as the Lincoln LS Owners Club. People on these two sites were singing the praises of Zaino, so I tried it, liked it, and used it for several years. Then I got a free sample of Surf City Garage's two part deal, called Nano Seal and Nano Glaze. I tried it, liked the gloss even a little better than the Zaino, so I've been using the Surf City products (including their spray detailer) for a few years.

Prior to applying the Surf City wax, I go over the car with a foam buffing pad, attached to the famous Porter-Cable 6" random orbital buffer, using Griot Garage's "Machine Polish".....which I recently learned is now called "Boss Polish".

I saw 14 responses so I had to check out the thread to see what made it qualify as a tech question. Thought someone was making fun of Vette owners as being "waxers."

What we really mean is don't post anymore REPLIES to this thread so it will die and the op can go to the correct forum for the information.
Please use that forum to offer additional waxing advice .
