Default 16" 4th Gen Camaro Wheels on C5?

I know this has been discussed many times, but I am trying to see if anyone has had any luck with fitting them on the rear of their c5.

I bought a 16" drag pack with hoosiers from another guy on a c5 facebook page. He said they fit his car no problem. Well they ended up grinding like hell when I put them on, took them off, grinded the top of the a arm and knuckles down but still grinds. The guy told me to get a 1/8' so I did, and they dont grind but I noticed when I take a left turn the back left makes a noise.

Anyone have anything I can do or am I just SOL? I will try and get a picture up of the wheels and what they look like.

Thanks in Advance,
Amaan.

Car is lowered in back, I'm not sure if that is making a difference on rubbing or not.

Take a grinder and take some material off the top of the spindle.

Then they should fit just fine...

it's gonna grinded down pretty good.. don't really want to grind anymore. Have you run these before?

I have used those exact same wheels on a C5. With a bit of grinding...

Wouldn't happen to have a pic of the a arm would ya? Did you run any type of spacer?

I don't recall ever touching the A arm to fit those wheels. Just the top of the spindle.

I did not use a spacer. Sorry, I have no pics of that setup. This was 8 years ago that I was using them.

1" rear spacers, no grinding needed

They fit without any modification - extremely close on the spindle but doesn't touch. The ball joint dust caps also cleared. Miles of room on the calipers. They look goofy.

Tiny sized tire (225/60/16) makes for a fun time on the street.
