Starting Issues C5 2001
I have a C5 2001. Cleaned battery connections, New Battery 12.83 Volts, Alternator 14.87 Volts all tested good after start. Next day I used key fob and nothing happened. Battery was dead. No start. Any suggestions on next steps or what might be the problem. THANKS!

I have the same issue. I found that my passenger side door keeps unlocking at all times. Still have not found the problem to why it does that. I just disconnect the neg side of the battery till I have more time to dig into the door panel.

What year is your car and does your key FOB have the "passive" button??
If so that is likely the cause of the problem. Take the FOB apart and clean all the dirt and lint from around/under the passive button and unless you absolutely cannot live without the passive feature, turn it OFF. GM never got that right and stopped making FOB's with that feature for the C5 starting with model year 2000

You need to physically conduct a battery current draw test to see if your BCM is entering the SLEEP/SECURITY MODE.
Your car should be drawing around 20 milliamps once it enters sleep mode. You are likely drawing 1,2,3 AMPS if the battery is going dead that quickly. If something is not allowing the BCM to go to sleep, you will have a dead battery after a short while.
Run the parasitic current draw test and report results.
