I have a few light black marks in my tan top. I used maguires convertible top cleaner and then simple green, but it did not come 100 clean. I scrubbed really well too. I was thinking about using some mildew and stain remover designed for boat vinyl.

What have you used with success on stubborn black marks on convertible tops?

I have used RaggTop in the past, but not sure I have the same stains as you have. I do find some black markings in certain areas, but I think they are more due to rubbing when the top is down as opposed to dirt since the top rarely if ever sees any weather and the car is always indoors. The RaggTop waterproofing spray works great but don't be alarmed when first sprayed as it will alter the top color. I about crapped myself when I first sprayed it but about 8 hours later after it dried is was beautiful.
