A4 shift questions
I am a bit new to Corvettes, but I am concerned about an issue I am having. The shifts are normal and smooth under normal driving. I have noticed every once in awhile if I accelerate, (does not have to be WOT) the car will stay in the gear when I let off instead of the immediate up-shift I am used to with other cars.
After the pause it goes into gear normally but it is just a concern with 77k I am hoping the trans is not on the way out. I plan on changing the fluid in the next month or so.
Also, to clarify if you continue to accelerate it shifts find and goes on to the next gear, it is almost like the Trans is waiting to see if your going to still need the gear?
This normally happens when passing a car in street traffic already in 2 or 3rd if I let off the shift might be delayed if I continue its fine
Any ideas?

Safety Car
Mine works the same way. When accelerating you need the lower gear. If you floor it, it will shift near red line. If you are driving slow you will be in 3rd before 20 mph If you accelerate enough it will downshift. The PCM controls all this.

Burning Brakes
It's Normal
YOU Need to service the transmission if you haven't done so in the last year.
Drop Pan. Clean Everything. Replace Filter / Gasket
Make sure you fill with correct procedure. It's a little different than
older GM 4L60E's. Also, You can use regular DexIII equivalent OR Dex VI works
fine too... It's just synthetic and OK to mix with any older Dex Fluids
