Replacing wobble balancer....
I plan to procharge this car later so I don't want underdrive. I also don't want to use the OEM part, for reasons obvious. Lighter weight is fine and I already plan to get the ARP bolt. I'm looking for suggestions on aftermarket balancers, and if possible, pin kits so I don't have to remove the rack again when I procharge it. It would be a plus if the new balancer came with a pin kit!
I've also been looking for a good flywheel holder tool (J-42386-A), but $120 seems pricey for the name brand and I don't know enough about the knock-off's to know which one to trust, open to suggestions on that as well.

Don't use the OEM balancer again...
I think powerbond makes a stock ratio balancer.. And YES, Pin it now.
Even if you don't supercharge later, it wont hurt a thing.
Use ARP Bolt. I think BTR has tool selection (& pin kit)

I found a Dayco with "power bond" (DAYCO PB1117SS) associated with it. Is that the one you are talking about? It is about $150 cheaper than the ATI and I doubt I need all of the features that ATI has. I also can't find a part number for the ATI pin kit though I did find the ARP bolt on Summit. Do you have a part number for the pin kit and tool? I looked through the parts section and didn't see anyone selling the pin locator tool.

I called SLP (guessing that is what you meant by Powerbond) and they said they don't make a stock ratio now. BBK doesn't list one on their site and the Summit Racing pulley is underdrive as well. I just can't justify spending $500 on the ATI so that leaves me with a OEM unit or taking a chance on the Dayco part I listed at the top.

Glad someone found that info for you Brad.
I just wouldn't do the GM part again.
IF you know you are going with a supercharger, then the ATI IS a
good choice.. there's alot more stress on crank, etc when you add a blower

They do have the cheaper Powerbond on Rockauto, after looking more closely, the one I ordered is SFI rated. I also noticed it is 183.7mm instead of 191mm, so it underdrives. I'm not sure how if the 7.3mm will make that much difference in boost on the procharger. For some reason the more expensive one overdrives the a/c.
