Default Question for C5 experts

I just replaced my plug and wires on my 1999 Vette, almost all plugs were at 60 gap, a few greater. With the new plugs that came pre gaped at 40, does the cars computer need to relearn the plug gap? or does the computer take instant readings from each cylinder and coil at the time it starts?

Have you ever heard that the computer must relearn the gap? or to pull the battery cable so the computer relearns it?

just curious as someone mentioned this to me

As long as the cylinder fires, the computer could care less what the actual plug gap is. So no.
