Default Why does my remote code keep getting dropped?

For the last month or so the rfa code for the remote door unlocker has been dropping the code every time I reset it. I have change the battery. Any help is appreciated!

Your sensor is going out.. it is inside the plastic panel behind the driver seat - past the speaker..

My 99 did the same - so if you have a warranty - go taker her in.... :cheers:

I have same problem but only on fob #2. It stops working after a couple of hours after resynqing the fob.
I just received a new fob which I ordered from Ken Fichtner. I'll do the fob relearn first thing in the morning and post back if it solved my problem.

If this happens with only one fob then thats where your problem is. If both fobs then there is probably something wrong with the receiver but my money is on the fob itself-seems to be a relatively common problem.

It's pretty easy for the contacts in the fob to bend; take the battery out and check the contacts.

This is true too - as I totaly blanked that possibility.. :cheers:

OK. I adjusted the contacts and relearned both fob and so far so good.

Terry, you were right, it was the fob.
I did bend the contacts on the old one before I ordered the new one but still same.
