Default Time to upgrade 383 all bore vs 383 stroker vs 395 stroker ?

Well after 53k mostly trouble-free ( 1 broken valve spring ) miles with one Cartek head/cam package or another its time to upgrade.

I'm thinking 383 all bore, 383 stroker, or 395 stroker.
I want to stay with the aluminum block. I have the "X" package LS6 heads ported LS6 intake headers etc. I probably will not spray it ever.

I was leaning towards the 383 stroker due to simplicity, but the thought of a quick revving all bore sounds good too. However thought of leaking/dropped liners does not sound good. A relative newcomer to the table is the 395 stroker.

Anyone that has these combos care to share their thoughts or input ?

Thanks,
Bob

I have one of the new Lunati 395s. Having lots of problems trying to figure out the right heads/cam/exhaust combo. So far the car has made 464rwhp, 453rwtq and we are still tweaking with it.

I know ARE has "mastered" the resleeving process. No worries here on my 436ci stroker. Make sure you get all forged parts....make that motor strong. 544rwtq here :D

I think it is definitely worth the extra couple thousand to go with a bored/stroked combo. If you do not trust any of the resleeving processes out there, go with a steel block. As Buckmaster mentions, I really do feel that ARE has their resleeving process down. There have been no documented cases of sleeve problems in any of their motors in well over a year and they have some customers that really hang a beating on their blocks. It doesnt cost much more at that point to get quite a few more cubes, which in turn turns into hp/tq.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding any of Agostino Racing's LS1 engine build-up options.
