ET STREETS or ET DRAG, whats the difference?
I was telling a buddy about my trip to the strip and told him I had slicks and he said no you don't because I have ET Streets and not the Drag. I thought the only difference is that the streets have gooves in them and we're street legal but my buddy is telling me that the drags have a different compound and will actually get better traction than the streets. Can someone please enlighten me on my tire questions. Bob

Most full slicks use a much softer rubber compound that allows better tranaction. The softer compound also has a shorter life.

I believe the sidewalls may be a little stiffer on the ET streets also.

I recently asked a rep. of Mickey Thompson this exact question and was told by the M. Thompson employee that both tires use the same exact rubber compound and the difference is the grooves and the sidewalls are a little stiffer on the ET streets. :yesnod:

And aAs as there´s no 17`MT drag available, we cannot mount a MT drag when on stock rear breaks.
