Default My trip to Kelly's Chevrolet Performance Center

One day last week I went with my friend Eric Normandin to Kelly Chevrolet for some warranty work to be done on his 2001 Z06. Eric called ahead to make an appointment with Dan to have the work done by Angel at the new KPC.(Kelly Performance Center) Dan met us at the shop and did all the paperwork so to bypass the lines at the regular service area. Angel went right to work on Eric's car. Eric had heard from Peter Avram that he could increase his horsepower by reprogramming the computer. He asked Dan if Brian, the computer programmer, could come in and reprogram Eric's car. He was there in less than a half hour. After the warranty work was completed they put the car on the Dyno to get a baseline reading which was 361.5 RWHP/ 356.3 RWTQ. That equals 425.2 at the flywheel.Eric all ready had these modification; TPIS full headers, Blackwing air filter, mass air sensorand a 178 degree thermostat. After the reprogramming the Dyno reading was 370.9 RWHP/ 362.8 RWTQ, a gain of 9.4 horsepower and 6.5 ft.lbs.of torque just with the new program. That equals 436.3 at the flywheel. This takes about 1 1/2 hours and several dyno runs until Brian gets the most horsepower out of the car. We got to stay right with the car the whole time. Diane, who is is head of the new KPC came by to talk to us and answer any question we had about the center. The whole day was a very positive experience. A lot of thanks to Angel, Brian, Dan and Diane, they treated us like special customers.

I second that about KPC

They've built me a race car with 500 FWHP that will go 0-60 in under 4 seconds and cross the 1/4 in 11's on street tires and has a top speed of over 185+ miles and hour.

And it gets 30 miles to the gallon with the A/C on :lolg:

It's great to know there is a reliable place to take our cars to for performance work. Thanks for the tip. Sharon

What makes KCP such a great place is that you can have service provided for your Vette and also leave with more performance than you came in with. I recommend anyone in the Dade or Broward areas to bring their car to Kelley Performance Center and they will leave with a big smile on their face :)

I just had my 99 in there and the service I received was mind blowing. I didnt think there were people that nice left in South Florida. Any Business with customer service could learn a thing or two from them. I plan on having them do more work real soon!

Hey Dave, Phil, Pete and Sharon!:seeya

I was on the phone with Brian and Diane yesterday.
I've met Diane. Nothing there not to like. Very personable lady.
After talking to them and hearing/reading about all the great results from Eric's Z06, Pete Avram's roadster, and others here, I have an appointment for an LS1 edit on my car this coming Saturday at 11AM.
Of course, a ride in MiamiDave's car last Sunday didn't hurt any. :D.
I am looking forward to it.

Like some of you guys, I have known Angel for years and have infinite trust in him. He assured me that this was a great "mod" and re-affirmed how dedicated Brian is to his work and how incredible his computer skills are.
That'll work for me.

Pedro

Hi Pedro :seeya

Im happy to hear that you have decided to go with the LS1 edit. Brian does fantastic work and your car should show a nice increase in power with a good tune. I might be by Saturday around that time so hopefully i'll get to see Triple Black on the dyno  . Take Care

The pleasure was mine Pedro!

And did you notice when I mentioned the cost of a KPC cam only-she said "You can do that..." :D

Better yet, get the cam, and than the LS1 edit with their summer deal. You will not be unhappy!! :reddevil
