Denton 1/8th mile times and a few performance thoughts!
I just got back from denton and I am getting better: Previously I ran 7.99 to 8.07 on 10 passes. Well tonight after a reprogram, 7.93 to 7.97 with a trap over 90. I lost to a viper who is a exceptional driver he ran a 7.7 and beat a 03 Cobra (pulleys and drag radials) cause he red lighted bad. Neither the cobra or viper pulled me by much maybe a half car. My MPH was 3 mph slower than the cobra and 1.6 mph slower than the viper. They both dynoed over 420 so I was giving up at least 80 rwhp and more torque. I gave up .07 seconds from 330-620 to the viper and I was gaining ground .05 seconds on the cobra.
I still cant get better than a 1.85 60' on drag radials but it is consistant. For those with autos, do a burn out in second it works much better.
Fun night I wish Gary was there he would have beat both of them on time alone!
I will be getting some electric cutouts as soon as I find someone to install them, I need another .1 secs to have a chance at a 11 in the 1/4.
Feel free to comment or any sugguestions for a better 60' would be appreciated. i tried 3500 rpm power braking worked the best 1.85 60 and over 90 mph.

Those are great times considering your mods
I also think you can probably take atleast another 1/10 off your 60' time using the drag radials which will greatly affect your 1/8 mile time

Scott, what size drag radials are you using?
My biggest problem is my converter does not hit hard enough for 1.7 sixties. I tried 1 time last night to launch from idle so the cenverter would hit harder but it spun and hopped. I still ran a 7.99 with a 2.0 60 on that run!

Scott that Yank 3000 can get you in the 1.70 60fts. Try 19psi in the tires and besure to get those shift points raised to 6400. Then try launching at 16-1800rpm.go around the water box with the front tires so they want trail water up to the line.I cut 1.7s with my PT2800 and a best of a 1.68. Come early to Hallsville and get a little practice, see ya there. :seeya

Don't forget to raise those shift points to 6400 it could make a difference in 60ft & ET.

i will be there, I always go around the waterbox and back in to heat the rears. My problem is I dont spin at all off the line. I will tried that 1600 and it hooked but still only a 1.88. I will try again in hallsville!
