'97-'98 LS1 Valve covers / FRCs
FRC= Fuel Rail Cover :flag
Hello,
I'm trying to create a 3D model of the LS1 valve cover area and Coil packs. I have an '02 LS1 but I do not have the '97-'99 version which had the edge bolted valve covers and the corresponding alterations in the coil packs.
Does anyone have valve covers with the coild packs attached, or even the entire heads. It is not important that anything work, it only needs to be mechanically correct, as in no bends or damage.
I'm willing to buy or borrow what ever is available. Borrow would be best as I have no use for them once they are modeled. If someone has mechanical drawings that would be fantastic, although unlikely.
Thanks,

Only 97 and 98 had the perimeter bolt valve covers. 99 was the first year of the FRC so they all had the center bolt valve covers.

I think your missing something.
Coupe has a removable roof panel (Targa) + rear hatch 1997 - 2004
Convertable 1998 - 2004
FRC = Fixed Roof Coupe (Hardtop) 1999 & 2000
ZO6 is a hardtop with LS6 motor plus FE4 suspension 2001 - 2004

Duh, I too wondered what a "fixed roof coupe" had to do with anything... :crazy: Live and learn. :yesnod:
Now, why are you modeling these, anyway? Inquiring minds want to know!

Now I'm confused. I have a '98 with things over the valve covers that I have always thought were Fuel Rail Covers (FRC). So if they didn't make them until '99, what is on my engine? :crazy:

Folks,
Forget the references to Fixed Roof Coupe. :nono:
The FRC in this post referred to Fuel Rail Covers. Sorry, my mistake, I did not realize there was another use of "FRC".
Thanks, :flag
