Default switching to electrochromic mirror, any thoughts?

Probably not worth the trouble but I just installed a new rear view mirror with Valentine One diplay built in to it. Vey cool (ebay Item number: 2440935371). The problem is that my original rear view mirror was not electrochromic and this one is. The V1 works great but the plug from the car to the mirror and the receptacle for the new mirror do not match. Does anyone know if this swap can be done and if so, how difficult is it? :cry

I bought one of the electrochromatic mirrors off ebay (without the V1), and it came with an adaptor to convert it to the 99 sytle plug. I believe that GM makes the adaptor, but I don't know for sure.
