Default Generic GM repair tools, J33432-A, J42188, etc. Where can I get them?

I'm planning on doing some work to my car and was going through the manuals. I see there are a lot of service jigs and tools with J numbers cataloging them throughout the manual, and also descriptions of them at the beginning of certain ections of the manual. My question is, where can I get them? Do I have to purchase, or are there places I can rent them?

What are they for? Sometimes regular tools will work fine.

They're specialty tools. For instance there is a special tool for aligning the front timing cover of the LS1/LS6. Proper alignment = proper seating of the front cover seal ->no oil leakage. There is a specialty tool kit (I forget the #) which has tools for front and rear cover alignment, oil pan alignment, installing oil seals etc. You can find them, used on Ebay for $300-400 frequently. Nice to have if you plan on tearing into the motor a few times. :yesnod: Call Kent Moore and they can send you a GM tool catalog.
FWIW.

I guess Kent-Moore is the only source. I'll give that number a call. Thank you!

I need the engine support. I want to drop the front suspension cradle to take off the oil pan. I want to change the rod bolts. Yeah, I know. I'm nuts.

This tool is not really necessary, I just installed a cam and the only tool I bought was the puller for the damper, I tried to buy a puller here in town but I couldn't find one that would fit worth a darn.

You may also want to get the damper installation tool, I didn't use this but now I know it would have made the job alot easier, especially if your damper is pinned for forced induction.
