Alright, how do you get the crank bolt off?
I do not have a large enough impact wrench socket to hit it with my impact wrench and I doubt it would break it free if I did (cheap impact wrench). What is the easiest way to break that bad boy loose? I am trying to pin my crank and it just seems to want to turn even though the car is in gear and the parking brake is set.

I just did this back in march and it was a cast iron biyatch. I put mine in fourth gear. Put on the socket and breaker bar with the breaker bar at about 1:30-2:00 O'clock relevant to the crank/pulley, basically as far to the driverside as you can and still be able to slip on a breakerbar. put the breaker bar on, I used the pipe from my floor jack handle. You can do this one of two ways.
Easy way, have a buddy on the driver side push the breaker bar toward you (on the pass side), grab it, have him come around and just yank on that bad boy. If you get a little travel and it wont break, reset the socket to the next click, try again.
Hard way is do it by yourself, walk the breaker bar over to the other side of the car and then give it all you got.
When I did mine (by myself), I noticed the crank gave some play and it didnt really catch until after the breaker was past 12:00. Once I broke it it spun easily. I weigh in at 235, and barely got it.

I hammered on it with a cheapo impact at 175 PSI to no avail. I purchased a nice IR 1/2" impact wrench and found the result to be quite awe inspiring.

The older model IR 2131 is also quite impressive and available at bargain prices if you search around.

Seeming that I live about a mile from LG's, I called and spoke with one of his tech's, Sean...he is going to let me borrow one of their super duty impact wrenches to get te job done .
Thanks everyone for all the advise! All of it is good.

I learned this one at the machine shop.
Use a mapp gas or propane soldering torch (the small ones for plumbing) to heat the bolt head until nearly red hot and quickly hit the bolt with your impact gun. It took a couple reheats but worked great. Chris
