Default PF44 or PF46 Oil Filter

Charts in the books in stores say PF44, but don't seem to have them in stock. They don't seem to know about the PF46. (maybe I am going to the wrong stores)

I see some of you use PF46.

Is this a replacement for the PF44 and did they stop making the PF44?

GM stopped making the PF44 about a year or so ago and replaced it with PF46. You can still get the premium UPF44.
