Default Service Engine Soon Light

You should check to see which current codes are in the computer. Turn the ignition switch to the on position, press and hold options button, then press the fuel button four times. H is for history and C is for current code. Write down the current code(s) and look it up on a C5 DIC Code List. To exit out of the code search mode, press english/metric button or turn off switch.

Here is a handy web site for code checking. http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm

If the light comes on and goes off and there are not any codes set, you could be expierencing secondary ignition problems. Does your car miss or have an engine skip when the light comes on?

Please let us know.
