I read earlier in this thread that the Mantic Single ER2 is 49pbs. How does this compares to the stock LS1 assembly?
I lost 5th and 6th gears on my transmission, so I just purchased a new (to me) transmission, so I figured out I would rebuild the torque tube while I am at it and replace the clutch.
I am taking a slightly different approach to my car. I never have and don't plan to race it. Maybe once a year participate in the autocross for fun at the Goodguys show. So I am staying NA and making the car as light as possible without completely sacrificing creature comfort. I just like to carve the canyons around here and I want to be able to hold my own next to a stock C6Z06. In the Spring I am planning a head/cam/intake swap and I don't plan on getting it any higher than 550whp in the future.
From what I read on here, the ER2 will handle all this without a problem and everyone is happy how it feels on the street. However, I would like my motor to spin a little quicker and this is why I am asking about the difference in weight compared to stock. I understand that the 9000 would give me the weight benefits, but I don't think I need anything close to its load capabilities and I know for a fact I don't need the substantial price hike from the ER2.

After five years going, Mantic pricing will have an increase come the first of the year. If you are considering ordering be sure to beat the price jump!

You can add an ECS clutch stop for $75 (norm $89) with any purchase of a twin or triple.
