Actually Z07 was a GM option code in 1993 for an adjustable suspension package. Only 824 were made, for a price of $2045.

Isn't the Z07 a package that MTI created with the 427 ci engine? They even gave it Z07 badges IIRC.

Z07 was the heaviest duty suspension option from 1991 through 1995. It combined FX3 selective ride with heavy springs and sway bars 13 inch front brake rotors until they became standard. Also they retained the 9.5 inch front wheels after the other LT-1 cars got the 8.5 inch wide front wheels. If you ordered one with an automatic trans it made the performance rear axle manditory. They are a pretty rare and desirable car. During the years of the Z07 option there was no Z51 option also it was not available on convertibles.

It's actually the perfect car for what I've been looking for. It's even white so it doesn't show all the grime. I'm always afraid to push my Z at the track because I'm afraid of crashing it and having to deal with the insurance. This one would be fun to run closer to 10/10. I wouldn't be afraid to walk away from a $10Kish investment if I crashed it.

I wish it wasn't on Ebay and I wish it wasn't in California.

Would something like that show up in the vin number? I have a wrecked 94 and it looks like it might be one of these.

If it still has the option sticker under the console bin lid just look for option code Z07. Or you could order a museum generated build sheet from the NCM in Bowling Green for around 15 dollars if you give them the VIN.

If it is a 94 with the big (13 inch) front brakes, 9.5 inch rims and 275's all around the big front swaybar, and the selective ride shocks, it is a Z07. I doubt that anybody would go to all the trouble to put all that stuff unless he was going to track the car.....

Like the man said in the earlier post, there were typically less than 1,000 built per year between 92 and 95, and if you look around they can be found. They were typically the best kept secret, even in the GM order literature that described the option packages they told the sales people that this package was for the serious autocross and track enthusiasts only. I think in the 10 years that I had them, I only saw one article (in Motor Trend) that talked specifically about that package.....

The only other thing one of these needds is the adjustable sport seats with the "Clamp you in" electric side bolsters, and you have the perfect C4 package.....

I only wish that the Z06 came with seats like those, they were awsome, and if you want to stay in a stock class you can't change them out....

I had a local dealorship run the build sheet on it for me and it turns out that it is one. The bad part is that it is the suspension that is damaged.

How common is picking up a car like this for around $10K? I was planning on looking for a late model LS1 Camaro to use as a track car, but a C4 like this looks very tempting.

The only thing in the suspension that is not replaceable is the upper control arm bushings. If you buy the replacement arms you get the softer bushings since that is all they made. Everything else can be replaced and if you look carefully you can probably find the upper arms in a wrecking yard if they are mangled....

So a Z07 isn't actually a Chevrolet "model", correct? Simply a suspension option. As opposed to the Z06 which really is a specific model of Corvette. Doesn't seem right to call it a Z07. A "C4 with the Z07 suspension package" seems more appropriate.
