Traded in my '02 MY w/Mod Red interior for my Z16......Glad I did since I do many car shows and with the Yellow, could never park it on grass due to the attacks from the "grass bugs" which cling to the paint for some odd reason....!! And to think back when I was a small kid and people would install yellow bulbs in their lighting on the porches to repel bugs??? What happened here? ;0)

I would have bought this combo if it was availabe from my dealer at the time. He had Yellow, but only with the all black interior and I had to have a Mod Red car.

I wanted this color combo and my local dealer found one for me. I had to go to Indianapolis to get it. At the time (April '03) I was told it was the only one in stock at a dealership in the Country! I'm glad I only had to go to Indy to get it.

I've got an 03, absolutely love the color combo. I still have not been able to find an accurate production number, and the folks at the museum said that it isn't tracked, but I'm sure it exists somewhere. I have seen a dozen or so at different car shows, and I know of at least three in the west Texas area, so I doubt the numbers are as low as some have said.

Does anybody know how many EB with the mod red interior were made?

Sorry, I don't have one but wanted to say that's a GREAT combo! I always though of it as the "Ronald McDonald Option!" (due to similar colors). Very, very cool, and pretty rare. I don't see many (any, actually) in that combo around here. First time I saw it was around 2001 or so. I'd bet it'll have some collector value in the years to come.
Myself, I have a TR/MR. Mod Red interior looks good with ANY exterior combo.
Good luck finding your MY/TR car! Post some photos!

I have an 02 MY with the ModRed interior.
I have a feeling the number of MY Vettes made with that color combo is a bit higher than 52, but there does not seem to be a definitive source that either confirms nor denys it.
