I've never heard of better mileage... I have heard of better mileage with an a/m tune. My bolt-on '01 Z06 (no tuning) gets 28 mpg at 75 mph, but my buddies '04 w/ a full dyno-tune to go with his bolt-ons gets 32 sometime!

I have heard people say that with the 2004 they can get up to 35 mpg so I am not surprised that someone with the 2002 model might do better than 28. An improved fuel delivery system can have a nice impact not only o the performance of the engine but other systems as well, just as an improved air intake system can improve performance.

I then tap in on specs at the top.
What I read on the Z06 regarding estimated mileage was 19/28/23
For my 2004 it has a high of 22 mpg city and "33 mpg on the highway".

I've seen different numbers for each year car depending on what WWW site you are looking at. These pages show the 2004 at 28 MPG:
http://www.theautochannel.com/newcar...s&trimid=12839
http://www.fatherlarryscorvetteshop.com/new_page_11.htm
http://chevrolet.jbcarpages.com/Corv...004/index4.php
Can someone with a 2004 please take a pic of the EPA section on their original window sticker and post it here?

The doc says Chevrolet Corvette M-6 -> 19 City / 28 Hwy. These are the same numbers that are on my 2002 window sticker.

In another thread it was stated that some issues in the 2002 were addressed, but what these were I don't know. In any case changes were made. Type in 2002 Corvette Z06, do a web search, and tap in on one that offers specifications. What I saw was an estimated top highway mileage of 28 mpg. For the 2004 the top highway mileage was stated at 33 mpg. That's an increase of just over 15%. BTW these numbers are not produced by GM, but all models are tested independently for the federal govt.

I regularly get 29 MPG at 70 MPH on my 2002 with AC and cruise control. The best that I have ever got at 70 MPH is 30 MPG. If I drove at 60 MPH, which would be impossible for me, I would imagine that I could get in the low 30s MPG.
