Default Weighed my 02 Z06 today.

Without me in it and 1/2 tank of gas it weighed 3080lbs. That is on a state certified scale. It rounds UP in 20lb increments. I'm happy with that number. What does your Z weigh?

No, sorry. I would think that my mod's make it weigh more if anything. Dynatech LT's, high flow cats, stingers, and aftermarket chrome Z06 rims.

I thought the C5Z was in the 3100 lb range bone stock. Someone refresh the grey matter.

You probably broke even with your mods. My LG headers and intermediate pipe saved a lot over stock. The stingers and rims probably offset that savings on your car. That's still a good weight. I had mine weighed too and it weighs around 3000 pounds on fumes/3060 with 5/8 tank. I have saved at least 50 pounds with (1) no air pump, (2) no windshield washer fluid (3) Lg Pro headers w/o cats (4) other small changes.

My Z weighed 3050 with a 1/4 tank of gas before I put in a JL Audio Stealth box and 19/20 HRE's.

I have similar mods & weigh abt the same. Pretty amazing for a relatively large car

Mine was 3168 with a full tank of gas, tools, flashlight, some extra oil and 8 jambalaya dinners (boy scouts taught me to be prepared). Add me to the mix and it went up to 3480.

I've got a buddy with a Suburu WRX. He was bragging about his approx 300 horse power with his little car compared to my big ZO6. Unfortunately for him, the WRX actually weighs more than the Z.

I think a lot of ricers think their cars are light; but, in reality IF they are lighter than the Z, it usually isn't by very much.

312Lbs. difference with you!?

My goodness, you are a big boy drivin' that sportscar! (Maybe you had alot in your pockets.) My little brother (in age) has you beat I think. Three hundie and probly more than a dozen, at least, 6'4" and strong as an OX. He lives 2400 miles away but I'm trying to entice him to visit me by telling him he can drive my SCZ06 when he visits! I used to just kick his *** when we were kids, momma always said "watch out, he's going to be bigger than you some day...." He wupped me when he was ready....I'm ALWAYS nice to him now!

I am slowly dropping weight so I am hoping to get down to 250 soon enough. That should not be too much weight to have to make up with more power when I race.

Let me say the Z is alot easier to fit in and drive than the 71 more big/tall people friendly.

So I guess if I'm 140 fully dressed and soaking wet I don't have to mod to keep up with you guys. My HP to weight ratio is already good to go. But I guess if you're running a supercharger or turbo I'd have to dry off and ditch the clothes.

Mine weighed exactly the same 3050 using an asphalt plant scale.

Mine was 3070 with 1/4 tank of gas and my stealthbox in the back (I think it weighs 20-25 lbs) I was impressed that it was under 3100

My Z06 weighed 3050lbs stock wet, but without driver. However, it NOW weighs 3020lbs with driver.
Problem is, MY competition weighs 2000 lbs....wet, with same HP!
