Not sure what's factory, but periodically I suck out what's in the reservoir and put in redline full synthetic.

Factory is regular GM fluid. Part # 89021184 for a pint and 89020661 for a quart.

I own a 2015 ZO6/ZO7
My power steering fluid warning light came on after about 15 minutes of hard driving, then I lost power steering momentarily. I pulled over for a few minutes and everything went back to normal. Had Chevy dealer look at it, couldn't find anything wrong. Happened again a week later under the same circumstances, had another chevy dealer look at the car, again couldn't find anything wrong with the power steering. Very frustrating - I think its an overheating issue - should I have them switch to synthetic power steering fluid? Both days outside temperature only 75. Also had engine power severely cut back on another occasion, but from what I've read, this is to be expected - again this happened after 15 minutes of hard driving on a 70 degree day. Any suggestions?

wrong area ..but your car has synthetic power steering fluid filled from the factory...and your car should not be doing that...aside from all of that..when i did my supercharger install i used OEM ac /delco GM synthetic fluid..and not had a single issue since..

C7s have electric power steering. No hydraulic fluid to replace or add.
Get dealer to repair it under warranty.
